5th Day of Set-up
From Monday , 6th February, 2006

Nurseries, plant growers, artists and garden specialists flooded the eight acres of the show floors of the Convention Center.  Many are local, but many are from all different parts of the world.  Each and every one of them brings with them their own creatively colorful displays and their own colorful stories.

 

 


 

 

4th Day of Set-up
From Sunday , 5th February, 2006

Plants and flowers of all different kinds are starting to emerge in all of the show gardens. Today the garden creators are finishing up the construction phase and are moving into the decorating phase.  From intricate sand sculptures, spectacular pots, and colorful artworks, designers are focusing on the interesting details of their gardens. The first of the exhibitors moved into today as well as Flora Fantasia, Great Plant Picks and Funky Junk.

 


 

 

3rd Day of Set-up
From Saturday , 4th February, 2006

What a difference a day makes! Bright and early at 6am on day three of set-up, 24 garden creators converged into the South lobby to start their show gardens.  As you can see from the attached pictures everyone worked very hard and accomplished so much.  It really is the makings of a fantastic Spring Garden Festival.

     2nd Day of Set-up
From Friday , 3rd February, 2006

 

 

Day two of set-up of the Northwest Flower & Garden Show saw the finishing up of the lighting installation.  Newly constructed walls were being carefully decorated with paint, materials and trimming at the Windermere Destination Living Display.  Ohashi started to install some garden walls decks at the same location. Our first Garden Creator, Dreamscapes, arrived to install a special surprise for his show garden.

 

 


 

 

 

1st Day of Set-up
From Thursday, 2nd February, 2006

 Bright and early this morning the Salmon Bay Events' staff arrived at the Washington State Convention Center to start setting up for the Northwest Flower & Garden Show.  The floors are being marked out and the lighting staff are here to install all of the lighting.  Front loaders diligently moved in tons of dirt and saw dust while set-up started on Susan Stanfield’s Interior Design room and the Windermere Destination Living Display.
