Marty Wingate
Marty Wingate is an author, lecturer and teacher. Her features appear every Saturday in the ‘seattle@home’ section of the Seattle PI. She writes for national magazines, including Fine Gardening, Organic Gardening and Gardening How-To and also for Northwest Garden News. She is the author of two books - Big Ideas for Northwest Small Gardens (Sasquatch, 2003) and The Big Book of Northwest Perennials (Sasquatch 2005). She regularly leads garden tours to the U.K. and to Ireland. She serves on the Arboretum Foundation Bulletin Editorial Board and she is a member of the Northwest Perennial Alliance, the Hardy Plant Society of Oregon, the Royal Horticulture Society and Garden Writers of America. She has a master’s degree in urban horticulture from the University of Washington and volunteers at the Miller Library. Website – www.martywingate.com
