Lucy Hardiman
Lucy Hardiman was to the garden born. As a fifth generation Oregon gardener, most of her childhood memories revolve around the cycles and seasons of the garden. She is a past president of the Hardy Plant Society of Oregon and her garden has been featured in numerous publications. She is the co-author of Intimate Gardens (Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, 2005). A popular lecturer, teacher, and author, Hardiman is a contributing editor for Horticulture, pens a column for Northwest Garden News and writes for Fine Gardening, Garden Showcase and Pacific Horticulture. She is also the owner and principle designer of Perennial Partners, a landscape design firm specializing in mixed borders, containers, color, small spaces and bold plantings.
